Up and coming Norrby IF goalkeeper Abraham Oluware has committed his international future to Nigeria though he could turn out for three European nations.

The 15 year old is looking forward to representing Nigeria at the 2021 FIFA U17 World Cup after he pledged his international future to the West African giants.

Abraham could represent Sweden, Italy, Croatia and Nigeria, he said that chosing Nigeria wasn’t a hard a decision due to his love for the three time AFCON winners.

“I was born in Boras, Sweden but I’m from Nigeria. My dad is Nigerian and my mom is Italian and Croatian, so I am eligible to represent Nigeria, Sweden, Italy and Croatia but I want to represent Nigeria, ”

“I thank God I want to represent Nigeria because it’s a country I love, it means a lot to me. Ever since I was a kid I have been supporting Nigeria and watching their games.

“I have been motivated and better in training because of my wish to represent Nigeria. Nigeria is in my blood, my brain and in my heart.”

Abraham has eyes set on playing competitively for the Super Eagles when the time comes.

He hasn’t hidden his desire to play for a top team in Europe as one of his goals is to play for a big club outside Sweden.

“My dream is to come to Nigeria and play, not only for the youth teams, I want to play for the A Team.

“I want to play for the big clubs in the world and be promoted to Norrby IF’s first team. Norrby is a great club that takes care of me and helped me to develop.

“My dream is not only to play football, I want to be a role model for the youths and to assist those who need help.

In the next five years I hope by God’s grace to play outside Sweden for great clubs,” Oluware concluded

Abraham is part of the Norrby IF youth set up as he featured for the U15 and U16 teams in the 2020 season.

He’s not the only Nigerian at club, Midfielder E. Egbedi and O. Akpoveta who’s an attacker.
