Memphis Depay has admitted that he is unsure of where his future lies amidst being linked with FC Barcelona.
The Lyon star has been linked to reuniting with his former national team manager Ronald Koeman who was appointed has Barcelona’s new manager last month.
The Manchester united flop has rebuilt his career in Lyon, he scored 15 times for the French team last season.
He will return for training with the Ligue 1 outfit after his international duties but concedes his future is currently in the hands of his agent.
“We just have to see what will happen. I’ll report to [Lyon] tomorrow and we’ll see what happens,” he told NOS.
“I haven’t heard much more from my agent. I know that there is interest, but I don’t have much more to say because I don’t know much about it.”
The Dutch star was speaking after the Netherlands had lost 1-0 to Italy in Amsterdam and the 26-year-old refused to commit his future to Lyon when asked about his next move.
“I do not see the future, I do not know if I will do the full season here. I have been here for four years, I became captain, he said.
“After you have to look at your career, there is no Champions League. At the moment I don’t know.”
Barcelona are undergoing a mass overhaul as the new coach Koeman looks to reinvigorate an ageing squad.
Ivan Rakitic has already left for Sevilla and Luis Suarez could be next out of the door, having reportedly agreeing a personal deal with Italian side Juventus.
