Bayern Munich have announced that Ivan Perisic will be returning to Inter Milan after spending last season on loan at Allianz Arena.
The Sporting director of Bayern Munich Hasan Salihamidzic said “Ivan has behaved very professionally over the past year and he was an important member of our team and played his part in winning the Bundesliga, the DFB Cup and the Champions League. We wish him all the best for the future.”
The Bavarian giant manager Hansi Flick commented by saying “I’d like to thank Ivan for his performances and his contribution to winning the treble. We were very happy working with him. You could see Ivan’s qualities, in particular at the Champions League finals tournament in Lisbon.”
The Champions League winners expressed their interest in signing the 31-year-old Croatian attacker permanently, but apparently they weren’t able to reach an agreement with Inter Milan.
Perisic scored 8 goals and made 10 assists in 35 games for the Bavarians.
The German Champions are now left with three wingers which is Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman and the new signing Leroy Sane.
As Ivan Perisic and Philip Coutinho are returning to their respectively clubs (Inter Milan and Barcelona) so as Alvaro Ordizola will be returning back to Real Madrid due to his loan contract with Bayern Munich as expired.
