Manchester United are considering a €30m bid for Spanish left back Sergio Reguilon according to reports from @RomanoDimarzio.
The 23-year-old Real Madrid left back spent last season on loan at Sevilla making a total of 31 appearances for the Seville club. His exploits for Sevilla last season earned him a call up to the Spanish national team and he has one cap to his name so far.
Reguilon is a typical modern day left back who has the ability to affect the game in the opponents half and is also very strong defensively. He is regarded as the candidate to cement the Spanish left back position and make it his own in the near future.
Real Madrid are willing to let go of the left back if there asking price of €30m are met, but would like to include a ‘buy back clause’ in any deal to let go of the Spanish International.
Manchester United are willing to meet Madrid’s asking price for Reguilon but would not accept a buy back clause in the deal.
Ole Gunna Solskjaer wants to bring the former Spanish U21 International to Old Trafford this summer to provide competition to Luke Shaw and has mandated the United’s board to get the deal over the line. Sergio Reguilon is also open to a move to England and agreement on the personal terms would not be an issue.
Sevilla are also interested in signing of the Spanish left back following his impressive performance for them last season but are not willing to meet Madrid’s demand for him.
