Tottenham Hotspur have completed the re-signing of Wales midfielder Gareth Bale on a one year loan from Real Madrid.
The North London club already had an agreement in place with Real Madrid to sign left back Sergio Reguilon on a fee of around €30m, now London club have completed the signing of the Wales International Gareth Bale on a season long loan. Tottenham will take 100% responsibility of Bale’s wages that will amount about €15m in the duration of the loan period.
Real and Zinedine Zidane were ready to sanction the move back to England for Bale as he never share a good working relationship with the Madrid Boss and he is not in his plan this season, the Brit got his wish.
The 31-year-old attacker made a total of 142 appearances for Tottenham between 2007-2013 scoring 42 goals in the process before making a then world record €100m move to Real Madrid. Since his move to the Spanish capital he has won four Champions League trophies, Laliga and Copa del Rey in the process. He has made over 171 appearances for the La Liga giants and has scored a total of 80 goals.
In recent years, relationship between the Madrid and the Welsh man has not been conducive, with the former Southampton man even getting booed by his own fans during games. A move back to Tottenham is a very good opportunity for Bale to revive his career.
He lands in a more comfortable environment and a place where he is very much appreciated.
