Leroy Sane won’t be available for Bayern Munich Super cup clash with rival Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night, this is due to a knee injury.
The 24-year-old German winger is expected to return after the international break which is in October, he might be back for the Bavarians next game after the break on October 17 against Arminia Bielefeld.
The manager of the German Champions Hansi Flick spoke to reporters today at the pre-match press conference where he said “Leroy Sané will miss the game due to a capsular injury in his right knee that will keep him out until after the international break.”
The Bavarian giants manager also spoke about David Alaba who is doubtful of playing in the Super cup as he has muscular problem.
Sane had missed the whole of last season for Manchester City as he had a cruciate knee ligament injury, he only returned from injury in July.
The 24-year-old winger joined Bayern Munich this summer from Manchester City for €45 million signing a five-year-deal.
The German international have got the ball rolling at the Allianz Arena, as he scored on match day one of the new Bundesliga season against his former club Schalke 04.
