German champions Bayern Munich are interested in Athletico Madrid’s Thomas Lamar, this is according to Sport Blid.
The Bavarians have already acquired the services of Alexander Nübel, Tanguy Nianzou Kouassi and Leroy Sané this summer, but Philipe Coutinho and Ivan Perisic have returned back to their primary clubs (Inter Milan and Barcelona) while Thiago Alcantara and Michael Cuisance have also left the club with Javi Martinez seemingly on his way out of the club.
The Bavarians are looking to booster their squad this summer before the transfer window closes on October 5.
Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said “We leave many options open, are in constant talks with the coaching team and look at what’s possible.”
Apparently the German champions are looking to sign the 24-year-old attacker on loan from Athletico Madrid, however the Los Rojiblancos are looking to sell him as he has failed to impress at the club as per report from Sport Blid.
The 24-year-old France international joined Athletico Madrid from AS Monaco for €70 million in 2018, after been impressive with AS Monaco in the Champions League in 2017.
The French attacker has made a total of 73 appearances for Atlético with three goals and six assists to his name.
