French and Barcelona winger Ousmane Debemele is edging closer to a move to Manchester United.

Spanish outlet AS reported that Demeble’s move to the Theater of Dreams is close to perfection as Manchester United are looking forward to get over the disappointment of not getting Jadon Sancho.

It’s believed that Barcelona have put a price within the range of 50 to 60 million euros on him and the proceeds from Demeble’s sale would be used to bring in Dutch winger Memphis Depay from Olympique Lyon.

Francesc Aguilar of Mundo Deportivo tweeted that the Red Devils have convinced the 23 year old to put pen to paper.

Dembele’s performance in the 2016-17 campaign that saw him get involved directly in 31 goals in 36 starts for Borussia Dortmund made Barcelona splash €145m on him in other replace Neymar who left for PSG.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner has not been able to replicate that form that brought him to Barcelona as he has been plauged with injuries, missing 27 games in the 2017-18 campaign, 13 fixtures in the 2018-19 season and 40 games last season.

The pacy foward is a joy to behold whenever he’s fit and has the potential to be a top class player. He’s able to play on either flank, dribble and strike the ball effectively with both feet.
