Super Falcons and Super Eagles international Francisca Ordega and Ogenyi Onazi on Wednessday were honoured in Benue Sate, for making the state proud internationally.

This was presented by the State Executive Council members led by Governor Samuel Ortom and Benson Abounu his deputy, plus other members of the board.

The Governor, Ortom acknowledged the scintillating display of Ordega and Onazi for thier national teams and clubs respectively, which according to him, has taken the name of the state worldwide.

While presenting this, he urged the both of them (Onazi and Ordega) to intensify their effort addin more hardwork and discipline, he reiterated his assurance to them that, the government will continue to support all it sons and daughters in sports both home and aborad.

The aforementioned Nigerian internationals expressed thier elation to the honour given to them, stating that they will continue to do the stat proud.

The footballers, in separate remarks, expressed gratitude for the honour done them by the sate, saying they were spurred to do more.

While Onazi pledged his resolve to attract investment opportunities back home, Ordega appealed for support from the government for a women’s football team she intended establishing in the state.
