As the 2020 campaign of the French Open enters into the eleventh day, more interesting actions have been unfolded. While some of tennis heavy weights had some easy cruise to the final eight of the Grand Slam, others players were stunned as they fell through the race.

It took Dominic Thiem two hours to defeat Ruud Casper on a three straight sets, 6-4, 6-3,6-1 it weighed on Philippe Chartier. The Austrian will be facing France’s Hugo Gaston, who had a great time on Suzzane-Lenglen, as the resilient French man mesmerized the crowd against Stan Wawrinka, come from behind, in a five set match, 2-6, 6-3, 6-3, 4-6, 6-0.


Rafa Nadal had an easy cruise to the final eight over Stefano Travaglia having an emphatic 6-1, 6-4, 6-0 win as he is tied with America’s Sebastian Korda, who had victory of Pedro Martinez earlier.


However, first seeded Simona Halep had a ruthless victory against Amanda Anismova. It took the Italian Open champion, fifty-four minutes to avenge consternation against the American last edition. She won on an two set win at which Anismova managed to reply only one point out of the two.

The 2019 Wimbledon winner will hope to extend her 13 winning streak on clay against Iga Swiatek.
Belgium’s tennis player, Elise Mertens was stunned to defeat by Carolina Garcia on Chatrier. The Belgian was up against the French woman, but fell in the remaining two sets, 1-6, 6-4, 7-5. Garcia will be facing Elina Svitolina who beat Ekaterina Alexandrova on 6-4, 7-5.

Anna Karolina Schmiedlova has crashed out of the French Open, as she fell to Nadia Podoroska on 3-6, 2-6. Podoroska will be facing either Barbora Krejcikova or Tsvetana Pironkova. At the time of filing this report, Krejcikova is leading on a two straight set.


Alex Zverev and Diego Schwartzman are also in action at the moment.
