Matteo Ghendouzi will be joining the Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin on a season long loan from Arsenal with an option to buy, according to Kicker.

The 21-year-old French midfielder is expected to be in the capital of Germany in the early hours on Monday for his medicals.

With the departure of Per Skjelbred, Marko Grujic and Ondrej Duda, the Bundesliga club needed to reinforce their central midfield and have now been done.

The French midfielder have been frozen out from the Gunners first team since the dying embers of last season.

The 21-year-old joined the Gunners in 2018 from French side Lorient for £7 million.

He made 82 appearances for the Gunners scoring one goals and having five assists.
