D’Tigers of Nigeria Point Guard, Josh Okogie has been dubbed one of the best Nigerian player in the NBA, by an NBA journalist Jon Krawczynski.

The Minnesota Timberwolves star has had a relatively fair season with the Wolves, making a total of 62 appearance with an average of 8.1 Point Per Game. His defensive presence cannot be underestimated, making some key defenive display for the Wolves.

But speaking with Sports Journalist Kenny Bamidele on live radio show tagged TOTAL SPORTS, Jon Krawczynski hailed the contribution of Okogie to the team, also reiterating that, Bam Adebayo also doing pretty well for Miami heats.

“Josh Okogie who plays for the Timberwolves and he Nigerian team is a very good young player, really really good defensive player and a very impressive young man too, from a personality angle, very talented, I know that Josh Okogie very much is proud of his Nigerian heritage and he enjoys playing with the Nigerian team, so he will in my selection right now”

Krawczysnki also heaped plaudits on in-form Bam Adebayo (Who is yet to switch his allegiance to Nigeria), for his all-round performance with the Heats, saying Bam is the best after Jimmy Butler.

The NBA finals is ongoing, with the Heats trailing 2-1, after game 3, while Minnesota could not make to the play-offs after falling from the Regular Season.

The Minnesota Timberwolves drafted Okogie on June 21, 2018 with the 20th overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft, he was then signed a month later with the Timberwolves.

Bam Adebayo according to reports is considering switching his allegiance to the D’Tigers of Nigeria.
