The Los Angeles Clippers are in advance talks to make D’Tigers of Nigeria coach Mike Brown the replacement for sacked Doc Rivers.
Nine months ago, Mike Brown was announced as the coach of D’Tigers of Nigeria, but if reports in Los Angeles is anything to go by, the former Cleveland Cavaliers coach could be heading to the Clippers.
It will be recalled that, since the announcement of Mike as the Nigeria coach, there have not been any friendly or competitive match-up for the team.
The Los Angeles Clippers have been on the look-out for Doc Rivers replacement, who was sacked after falling to the Denver Nuggets 4-3 in the play-offs, after leading the series 3-1. It is looking increasingly likely that Mike could be their next coach.
Alex Nwora could be set to return as the head coach if Mike Brown becomes the coach of Clippers.
Brown has amassed some success in the postseason, but that was achieved only as an acting coach.
When Steve Kerr was battling with back problems during the 2016-17 postseason, Brown became the head coach and led Golden State Warriors to a 12-0 postseason record.
