Bayern Munich were offered the chance to sign Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen from Inter Milan during the recently closed transfer window, according to Sky Germany.
It seemed, the Italian club wanted a swap deal involving the 28-year-old and Jerome Boateng, but the Bundesliga champions refused to release the defender, who have gained more playing time under coach Hansi Flick.
The Denmark international joined Inter Milan January this year from North London club Tottenham Hotspur for €20 million and he signed a four-year-deal.
The 28-year-old have been struggling to nail a first team shirt at the Italian side as he have spent most of his time coming on as a substitute.
Boateng will be seeing out his contract with the Bavarians as his contract is due to expire next year, he recently said he imagines extending his stay with the German champions.
Javi Martinez and David Alaba are also in the same boat with the 32-year-old defender as their contract with the Bavarians will also be expiring next summer.
