Manchester United make a return to the UEFA Champions League after spending the last term in the Europa League but RB Leipzig full back Angelino insist that the Premier League side are an average team.

The Manchester City loanee is looking forward to coming up against the Red Devils in the Champions League this term.

Angelino says RB Leipzig won’t park the bus against Manchester United, he believes that the Red Devils are not consistent, saying that sometimes United are “world class” and some other days they are “average”.

Manchester United are in the so called group of death that involves the likes of RB Leipzig, Paris Saint-Germain and Istanbul Basaksehir (Group H).

Leipzig had a fairytale last time out in the UCL as they got to the semi-final stage last only to be beaten 3-0 by PSG, who also went on to lose 1-0 to Bayern Munich in the final.

Angelino already faced United before as he played part in the Manchester Derby last season before crossing over to Germany in January.

The Spaniard is happy to come against United once again, as he told RBLive when asked to discuss the club’s chances of progressing to the knockout stages this season.

“I don’t know that much about Basaksehir. We know Paris from the semi-finals in the tournament in Lisbon,” he said. “What I’ve seen from Manchester United so far: sometimes they’re world class, sometimes they’re average. We don’t have to hide.”
