Man Utd boss Ole Gunna Solskjaer has praised his new signing Edinson Cavani ahead of their Premier league encounter with Chelsea today, labeling the Uruguayan international a proper centre forward.
The Red devils host Frank Lampard’s men today at the Old Trafford and Solskjaer was questioned by the media regarding the signing of 33-year-old Cavani and the United boss has this to say “I know he’s [Cavani] past 30 but he’s still fit and he’s still lean. It was just the sharpness he needed and you can see his movement is clever, the desire and hunger to play football is great to see. He’s a proper centre forward. He’s [Cavani] been training hard and been training well. He’s very meticulous. He knows what he wants and he knows what he needs and he’s been asking for special things.”
Ole also talked about young defender Axel Tuanzebe following his impressive performance on the victory over Paris Saint Germain and he has this to say regarding the young star “He’s [Tuanzebe] feeling a little bit tired of course, you do when it’s the first game for you for 10 months or something. And what a performance, it was fantastic from the kid.”
Man United currently occupy 15th position on the Premier league table with just six points from four games following their slow start in the league. But after an impressive victory over Newcastle United last weekend and a moral boosting win away to Paris Saint Germain in the Champions league during the week, The Red devils will be in a very confident mood heading into today’s encounter and will hope to get all the three points to enable them climb up the table.
