Manchester United are reportedly refusing an option to buy clause from Italian side AC Milan for Diogo Dalot as the red devils sees him as a top full back in the future.

The 21-year-old left the Old Trafford side this month on a season long loan loan to AC Milan as he searches for more playing time.

In short stay at the Italian side, the 21-year-old have been able to impress the club chief. The Portuguese full back stole the show on their Thursday Europa League match against Slavian Pragaue as he he grave an assist and a goal in their 3 nil victory against the Czech Republic side.

Report say the Old Trafford bosses have always knew his potential despite not displaying it in terms of his performance

This was the reason why the option to buy clause wasn’t included in his loan deal, this is according to Fabrizio Romano.

Milan are reported to want him on a permanent deal  but their chances now appear slim.

If the 21-year-old does return to Manchester, he faces a strong battle to enter regular football in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team in the near future.

The 21-year-old joined Manchester United from FC Porto in 2018 and he signed a five-year-deal.
