Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhães has stated that joining the club was a dream come through for him.
The Brazilian born 22-year-old defender joined the North London club last summer from French side Lille for fee of around €25m. Despite having suitors from clubs around Europe he decided to join Arsenal as it a dream move for him. In his words he has this to say,
“After Arsenal came into the equation, he [my agent] told me about other clubs that were interested, but I chose Arsenal because it was a dream for me. It’s a club that I really like and always watched on TV, with fantastic history.”
Gabriel Magalhães has enjoyed a blistering start to life at Arsenal scoring on his debute for the club against Fulham. He has followed that up with impressive performances week in week out and also recently in Arsenal’s victory over Manchester United at the Old Trafford, where he also had an excellent game as well and was given the man of the match award in the after the game.
The former Lille man has also won the club’s player of month award in successive months (September and October). He is surely now the club fan’s favorite because of his work on the pitch. Gabriel Magalhães is now seen as un-droppable from Arsenal’s starting line up as his name is always one of the first in the team sheet.
