Gabon’s head Coach Patrice Neveu had revealed that Arsenal may not allow Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang join the Panthers of Gabon again.

The Gabonese men’s football team were to play a matchday four AFCON 2021 Qualifiers against Gambia, and upon the team’s arrival at the Banjul airport Aubameyang and his teammates were denied access into the country for six hours also withholding their passports.

Arsenal kept a eye on the situation and have been reportedly frustrated with the treatment of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang while on international duty with Gabon.

The footballers individually took a video of themselves as they were left with no option than to sleep on the bare floor without their passport the night before their clash against Gambia.

According to the Gabonese tactician, he says that Arsenal chiefs are not happy with the treatment Aubameyang and his teammates got in Banjul.

The Frenchman told Canal Plus: “Arsenal called Pierre-Emerick. After seeing him in those conditions, it’s over… They won’t let him come again, and it will be the same for players from other clubs.

“It’s understandable. They are high level players and when they come on international duty, they need to have a minimum of comfort”.

As per L’Echo Republicain, he added: “All the players tried to sleep on the airport floor. imagine if Aubameyang, a player who costs more than €1m/month, gets injured… The English club can be annoyed after what’s happened. To make a player sleep the floor…”

This is a strong indication that Aubameyang may prematurely retire from the Gabonese national team as long as he is still an Arsenal player.
