Bayern Munich defender David Alaba have been in contact with Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane over a possible move to Spain, according to a report from Kicker.
The Austrian international could join the Laliga champions next season, as his contract with Bayern Munich is due to expire next summer.
However, Kicker claims that the Los Blancos won’t be able to match the demands of the 28-year-old and his agent
Apparently, the Los Blancos expect the versatile defender to join Paris Saint Germain even though the French champions are yet to make to make a concrete move for him. The same goes for Chelsea, who have also been linked with the 28-year-old.
When Bayern announced that they had withdrawn their contract offer to the 28-year-old at the beginning of this month, they knew full well that other top clubs would struggle to satisfy his demands, according to Kicker.
The Bavarians CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has said the door still remains open for the defender to remain at the Allianz Arena, and the German champions still believe they are in an excellent position to keep him at the club, as per the German football magazine.
