Liverpool has been dealt with an injury blow as number one goalkeeper Alisson Becker is ruled out of action for two weeks with hamstring injury.
The Reds boss confirmed the injury in his pre match conference ahead of the champions league clash with Ajax Amsterdam on Tuesday night. Where he was questioned on why the number goalkeeper was absent from the squad and Jurgen Klopp has this to say,
“It is not Covid,That is something we have to mention when it is not the case and it is not the case. He told us after the game [against Brighton] he felt his hamstring in the 60th or 70th minute.
“A little one but enough for today and probably for another week, we will have to wait and see. I have never heard of a hamstring that is only four or five days so it will be 10 to 14 days, I think.”
His loss would be a big blow to the Premier league champions as he now added to their injury list with includes Virgil Van Dijk, Thiago Alcantra, Trent Alexander Arnold, James Miller and also Nabil Keita.
