Two Nigerian players are set to feature in the 2020/21 UEFA Women’s Champions League round of 32 after the qualification draw.

The prestigious European competition will feature the four time African footballer of the year, Asisat Oshoala (Barcelona/Spain) and Ucheibe Christy (Benfica/Portugal)

Asisat and her Barcelona teammates will be hoping to bounce back from last season’s semi final defeat to German Champions, Wolfsburg. She remains the only Nigerian to score in a Champions League final.

Ucheibe Christy and her Benfica teammates are making their debut in the tournament. Benfica defeated RSC Anderlecht in a 2-1 encounter to qualify for the round of 32, Brazilian Nycole Raysla’s second half brace was enough to fire the debutants through.
