Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, has stated that he now finding his rhythm after his slow start to the season.
Paul Pogba who reportedly contacted Corona virus at the end of last season has endured a slow start to the current season, and was criticised in recent weeks by United supporters because of his poor performances especially at the earlier stages of the season.
However the French midfielder put in an impressive performance in United’s victory over Westham at weekend, He got his name on the score sheet with a well struck long range effort from outside the box to get the equalizing goal for Ole’s men early on in the second half.
Pogba spoke to the club’s official website on how he is feeling now after his slow start to the season and the effects of having the Virus. In his words he has this to say,
“It’s strange, it’s hard to explain because you wouldn’t understand. Even in training, I would say to the fitness coach that I feel strange. It’s not me. I get tired very fast and I’m out of breath really fast. The first game of the season, I couldn’t run. I was trying. I spoke with the manager, ‘I will start the game and let’s see’, but I was very out of breath and it took me a long time to get back to my fitness and to get back physically good.’
“I‘m finding my rhythm as well. I feel so much better, I felt I could go again, control the game, getting the ball. That’s what I like, myself. “I’m a team player. As long as the team wins, that’s the most important, you know? That’s why I came here and that’s why I want to be successful.”
The Red devils will be back in action tomorrow night when they take on German side RBLeipzig and will be hoping to secure qualification to the next round of the competition, and Pogba will hope to continue his new found rhythm tomorrow night if selected by Ole Gunna Solskjaer.
