Super Eagles and Sparta Rotterdam shots stopper, Maduka Okoye, has revealed that he has a dream of playing someday in his intention to play in the English Premier League.
Maduka joined Dutch Eredivisie side, Sparta Rotterdam on a free earlier in the summer from German outfit Fortuna Dusserdolf.
The 21-year-old as expected didn’t hijack the no 1 spot at Sparta Rotterdam immediately, as he was placed as a second choice to Van Leer.
He proved to be a good option in goal after series of eye-catching performance and automatically becomes the team’s first choice after 6 matches.
“My future is in the back of my head. I think, no, I know the Premier League is my favorite league.
“But the front of my head tells me to show it first here at Sparta,” he told rijnmond.
Okoye made his competitive debut for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the 2021 African Cup Of Nations Qualifiers against Sierra Leone where he conceded four.
He still has a 2-year contract with Sparta Rotterdam with an option of extend.
