MFM’s Sporting Director believes that players who featured at the at the Dominion Cup 2020 are good enough for the NPFL and the Nigerian age grade teams.
The Dominion Cup 2020 final was played yesterday at Evans Square, Yaba. On the day, there were two finals where played and it was the U15 and the U20 Dominion Cup.
Right Football Academy defeated Wise Man Football Academy to win the U-15 level.
At full time both sides were level with the score being one apiece and so it resulted into a penalty shootout where RFA prevailed with a scoreline of 5-4.
In the U20 cader, Makoko XI played against Layinka XI and it was an end to end encounter which was won by Layinka XI courtesy of a free kick goal from LXI’s No 5.
After the games, Ojbsport correspondence Afolayan Toyosi caught up with MFM’s Sporting Director and Mr Godwin said that the talents that were on display are good enough to play in the NPFL.
“I have seen something capable, I’ve seen players who are good enough to play for Nigeria from what I just saw now and play for clubs in Nigeria.”
