Super Eagles Head Coach, Gernot Rohr, has penned down some names that will be part of the squad who will be called to camp for the Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers in March.
It’s said that Southampton young forward, Nathan Tella will be joining the Super Eagles fold come March this year except if the gaffer decides to leave him out. Owngoal.com reported.
Tella isn’t cap tied to the Young Lions and it’d not take any formal request to make him play for the Eagles.
He was born in Stevenage, England and is of Nigerian descent.
Super Eagles scout, Tunde Adelakun, in October last year told owngoal that the former Arsenal forward is part of his watchlist.
“In Southampton, I am still watching Nathan Tella, it’s great seeing how he’s making starts in thw Premier League.
“The main aim is to get the best players for Nigeria. It doesn’t matter whether he’s based in Europe or Nigeria. We want the nest players,” He concluded.
This season, he’s being fantastic for the Young Saints which has enabled him to get some runs in the Premier League with the senior team.
