“We are aware of what year it was. Not only in terms of sports successes, but also the times we live in. How hard it was for us to get back into sport. Find the motivation and challenges that will make the past year finally turn out to be – also for me – wonderful, delicious, unbelievable. It was great to win so many trophies, but I realize that expectations are growing with every victory and cup, ” Lewandowski said.

The winners of the 86th edition of the oldest and most prestigious Polish plebiscite were announced on January 9 during the Gala of Sports Champions broadcast on Polsat, Onet.pl and on Przeglądsportowy.pl. Lewandowski won the title for the second time, previously he was awarded in 2015.

“The 86th edition of the Plebiscite was exceptional. We nominated only 15 athletes, but several of them achieved successes that we have not had in history. In a difficult year for everyone, it was they who gave people unprecedented emotions. Thank you very much for that and we are waiting for more cosmic wins,” said Pawel Wolosik, editor-in-chief of Przegląd Sportowy.
