Genk sports director Dimitri De Conde is of the belief that Paul Onuachu will thrive in any of the major leagues in Europe after he found the back of the net on 19 occasions in as many matches this term.
A close source to the forward told Ojbsport that he’s emptied his locker with a move to Olympique Lyon imminent.
“He is a player who can succeed anywhere with his strength, speed and footballing ability,” De Conde said.
“He’s a fairly complete striker.”.
However, the Belgian outfit chief revealed that he’d love to have the Super Eagles forward in Genk till the end of the season even if he signs for Lyon this January.
“Let us enjoy him a little longer. Paul has not been playing for Genk for a long time (1 year and five months.) And at the moment he is scoring very well,” he said..
Onuachu will turn 27 in May and that is an age a player has to take the step to a higher competition.
