Football world governing body, FIFA, has cleared six players who applied for switch of nationality to play for the Super Eagles.
An official of the NFF revealed to Owngoalnigeria that a total of eight players applied for change of nationality but as at the moment only six have been cleared and assured that the other two will be sorted out soon.
“Six of the eight players who applied for the switch have been go ahead by FIFA. Thee other two will get theirs done hopefully, but before then we’ve forwarded the names to Gernot Rohr. He has the final say.” He said
The official was quizzed to reveal the identity of the players who are involved, he declined saying it’s not time yet.
” We don’t want the fans to pressure on the coach so giving the names out will be inappropriate, but I can tell you that the list includes those who have played for Germany at several youth levels and another for England at youth level.”
