Nigeria and Shanghai Shenhua forward Odion Ighalo is set for a big money move to the Saudi Arabian league.
The former Manchester United loanee Odion Ighalo has a verbal agreement with Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab; the move is subject to a medical and personal terms.
Ighalo spent a season long loan deal at United and in the course of the loan he scored five times in 23 appearances.
His affair with the Red Devils came to an end last month and was due to return to his parent club Shanghai Shenhua but he was granted the opportunity to speak with the Saudi based side.
The transfer window in Saudi Arabia runs until February 7.
Odion’s representative revealed there were offers from teams in the PL and other top european sides, but as it seems now the former Super Eagles striker would be heading to Saudi Arabia.
Ighalo confirmed his departure from Old Trafford in an emotional farewell message last Tuesday.
“It’s so hard to see this dream come to an end,” he wrote on social media.
“But I give God the glory for helping me fulfil this lifelong dream of putting on a Manchester United shirt as a player and represent this great club.
“To the manager, I say thank you for trusting and believing in me when many did not.”
