Super Eagles and Sparta Rotterdam goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has been tipped to make a move away from the Sparta Stadion Het Kasteel at the end of the current campaign.
Dutch football pundit Ruud van Os believes Maduka has put himself in the spotlight window due to his terrific performances in the Dutch Eredivisie.
The 21 year old’s league debut turned out to be a disastrous one after he conceded four goals in the game versus Heerenveen but immediately changed the narrative with impressive performances for the Red-White Gladiatorse.
With his magnificent display in goal, he has made the No 1 spot his own and kept Benjamin van Leer on the bench since his debut.
Ruud was mesmerized by Okoye’s display in the game against Den Hagg he prevented ADO Den Haag from scoring more goals.
“Sparta can be very happy that Okoye is in the goal. I just don’t think we will be happy with him for very long,” Van Os said in the Sparta edition of the FC Rijnmond Podcast.
“There is a lot of demand for good keepers. I think he will leave soon. I would be surprised if he is still with Sparta next season.”
The German born Super Eagles shotstopper’s contract with Sparta Rotterdam runs until the end of the 2022-2023 campaign.
