Napoli head coach has attributed his team’s recent falterings to the absence of Victor Osimhen.
The Italian heavyweight have been inconsistent in their recent outings with them dropping much needed points in the Serie A and falling short of glory in the domestic cups.
Gattuso stressed that the team’s inability to convert chances which results in winning matches is borne out of Osimhen and Martens not playing.
He then said, whatever happens to Inter Milan if they’re without Lautaro Martinez and Lukaku is what Napoli are going through.
“I would like to see Inter without Lukaku or Lautaro. I’ve been saying this for a month now. It doesn’t have to be an alibi but the absence of Osimhen and Mertens weigh like a boulders and one cannot ignore this when evaluating Napoli’s season.”
