Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp is reportedly ready for a mass exodus in the summer and could see six first-team stars depart.

The Merseyside giants premier league title defence isn’t going as planned as they’ve fallen 10 points behind runaway leaders Manchester City.

The Reds have had to struggle this campaign with a couple of injuries to first team stars.

Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez are unlikely to play again this season with Klopp bringing in two rookies in January to fill in the void.

According to reports, the sale of about five players would create space and financial strength for new signings.

The Sun says Xherdan Shaqiri is likely to depart despite featuring both as a starter and a substitute for the Reds recently.

The Athletic also adds that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain isn’t happy with the situation at Anfield having made just two Premier League starts in the current campaign.

Georginio Wijnaldum is out of contract in the summer and could depart with Barcelona interested in the Dutch midfielder.

Adrian who has come under fire a lot of times since his arrival has now lost his number two spot to English youngster Caoimhim Kelleher and the ex-West Ham man could leave Liverpool.

The last player on the list is Guinean midfielder Naby Keita.

Since joining the Reds from RB Leipzig he’s been battling several injuries and in this current campaign he’s fallen down the pecking order with the presence of Thiago Alcantara.

On Keita, Klopp recently said: “It’s not a big thing; it’s a little bit like with other players in the past when they came back from injuries and then because of the amount of games and situation in the squad they had to play.

“Then a little injury happened again. Now we just had to put on the brake and say ‘let’s settle it properly’.

“In the moment we have alternatives in midfield, so we really try to give him all the time he needs to get 100 per cent fit.”
