Reading and Nigerian youngster Michael Olise has been rated tenth on the list of the most promising players between the age of 19 and 21.
Neuchâtel-based International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) came up with a list of 25 for the most promising players in the world.
CIES used the capital experience approach, weighting the domestic league minutes played by footballers with the sporting level of their teams of employment on a global level.
The former Chelsea Youth teamer is the only Nigerian on the list.
Olive is however having a breakout season at Reading, scoring five goals and turning provider on nine occasions in thirty three EFL Championship appearances.
He’s being linked to several premier league clubs with Spurs being the front runners for his signature.
Olise who is eligible to play for Nigeria, France and England has been listed in the Super Eagles standby list for Nigeria’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against the Republic of Benin and Lesotho.
Olise’s importance to the Blue Royals has been highlighted earlier in the season as he was handed the number 7 jersey at Reading which shows that he’s being trusted to lead their promotion charge alongside Ovie Ejiara.
