PSG’s duo of Angel Di Maria and Marquinhos were robbed during the PSG-Nantes match yesterday.

Di Maria left the game early on Sunday to rush to his house where his family was held hostage during the robbery.

Recall that Di Maria went through similar experience when playing for Manchester United in 2015, when he and his family were the victims of an attempted raid by burglars.

Marquinhos’ family was also held hostage in their home, his dad was hit multiple times by two robbers who burgled the home.

Investigators from the Versailles judicial police are now carrying out a formal investigation.

In a story, shared on Instagram by the player’s wife, Carol Cabrino, confirms the burglary, which took place “while his family was present in the residence. No one has suffered and everyone is doing well. More fear than harm.”

PSG’s gaffer Mauricio Pochettino reacting to the shocking defeat yesterday said “There are situations outside of football that explain the 2nd half.”
