Super Eagles and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen has been likened to former World Best Player of The Year George Weah.

An Italian Journalist from Spoetitalia named Paolo Bargiggia, said Osimhen reminds him of the incumbent president of Liberia who once played for Italian giants AC Milan in the Series A.

Bargiggia attributed Osimhen’s poor start to life in Italy to Injuries and has backing the former Lille goal poacher to get back to his best and even surpass his best.

The Italian is of the opinion that Osimhen is similar to the one time world’s best footballer Weah but he’s not yet playing at his best.

“Victor Osimhen? We know 30-40% of this boy, who stayed away from the pitch due to injuries,” Bargiggia said on Radio Marte’s Voce di popolo – Si gonfia l arete.

“The former Lille striker has a bit of a panther style that can somehow recall those of the great George Weah, former Milan. The real Osimhen, trust us, we have not yet seen”.

George Weah won the best player of the year as a Milan forward, with Bragiggia putting Osimhen in the same mould as Weah does Osimehn stand a chance to win the FIFA Best Player Of The Year someday? Time will tell.

In eighteen games for Napoli across all competitions, Osimhen has found the back of the net on just three occasions and has assisted only once.
