Super Eagles and Racing Genk striker Paul Onuachu will be leaving the Cristal Arena by the end of the season.

The Belgian giants have revealed that it’d hard to keep the lanky forward as a host of teams are waiting in the corner for the commencement of the summer transfer window.

Racing Genk’s technical director Dimitri De Condé that Paul Onuachu will bid farewell to the Belgian First Division A side in the summer transfer window.

The 2019 AFCON bronze medalist is a subject of transfer tussle with Scottish giants Glasgow Celtic and Olympique Lyonnais going head to head for the 27 goal man.

Despite Celtic’s interest, the Lyon based team are said to be in pole position to sign the €17 million rated forward.

In 32 matches across all competitions this season, Onuachu found the back of the net on 27 occasions and that’s his best goalscoring season since he became a pro.

“Paul is in great demand. He is a unique type and he scores often,” De Condé said to Eleven Sports via Voetbal Primeur.

“It is a challenge for us to keep him, but he also has an age that will make it very difficult to keep him on board.”

Paul is in his second season with the Belgian side as he was signed from Danish champions FC Midtjylland in the summer of 2019.

Ebere Onuachu has a contract with Genk until June 30, 2024.
