Villarreal CF manager Unai Emery has heaped praises on Super Egales winger Samuel Chukwueze, saying the 2015 U17 FIFA World Cup winner has been brilliant.

Samuel however made a fantastic a return from an injury that required surgery and has since dazzled for the Yellow Submarines.

Chukwueze started in the club’s last game which was a 2-1 win against Cadiz at the Estadio de la Cerámica on Sunday and with Unai Emery revealing that he’s pleased with the performance of his number 11.

Goals from Gerard Moreno, from the penalty spot, and Carlos Bacca secured a win for the Yellow Submarine while Alex Fernández pulled a goal back for the visitors.

Chukwueze didn’t get a goal or an assist in the game but had a good night, though he came close to bagging an assist four minutes before the interval but Carlos Bacca could not convert his low cross.

The Spanish gaffer was quoted by Marca after the post-match press conference.

“In terms of game we have generated more attacks at the opposing goal. We have lacked something else of success in the last pass, Samu (Chukwueze) has been brilliant in the overflow but has yet to finish.

“We have to rest and catch a little air for what is to come in the league and Europe. “

Chukwueze has helped Villarreal rack up four consecutive wins in all competitions – two in La Liga and two in the Europa League.
