Jamie O’Hara has come out to say that he believes Jose Mourinho has the right to heap blames on his players after the 2-2 draw at St James’ Park.
Newcastle played host to Spurs yesterday in the premier league and it was another woeful performance from the north London Boys who were punished for their imbalanced defending.
Joelinton had put the Magpies in front in the 28th minute but it didn’t last long as Harry Kane leveled things up in the 30th minute.
Harry Kane once striked and his 34th strike put the away side ahead of their host, but the Spurs fanbase suffered an heartbreak as Joe Wilock scored an 84th minute equaliser.
The draw however is a big blow to Mourinho’s men push for a top four finish.
Jose didn’t hide his feelings as he pointed accusing fingers at his players post match and O’Hara feels his action wasn’t out of place.
O’Hara said on Talksport: “I think he was right. You have to look at the manager and say what do you want from him there.
“He’s put a team out on the field who got a decent result against Aston Villa and then they go out against Newcastle and the defensive display was just shocking.”
Davinson Sanchez in particular had a bad afternoon at St James’ Park, and the former Spurs midfielder believes Harry Kane is the only sensation in the team.
“Sanchez was so poor,” O’Hara said.
“For half an hour he looked like he was playing with wellies on. It was just a really bad game for him. He didn’t play well.
“There’s no cohesion in the back line at all. As a back four, it’s so bad.
“It was a poor, poor performance. Without Harry Kane we’re so far off it – he’s just unbelievable for Spurs.
“You’re never going to win games if you can’t keep clean sheets. You’ve got no chance.”
