FK Ruzomberok enjoyed a superb campaign blowing-out every team in the league, securing back-back championship, and becoming the second most successful team in the Extra-liga behind Good Angels Kosice. Their remarkable season was spearheaded by Nicole Enabosi, credit also goes to the entire team, for their relentless support.
Enabosi won the 8-month long 2020/21 Extra-liga Championship with perennial champions FK Ruzomberok, Averaging 16 points per game all season.

While playing for the aforementioned Slovakian outfit, Enabosi’s figures improved massively, she continuously churned-out consistent performance for her team. She scored 435 points shooting at 65% from 2-points range, in the entire season. These and many more made experts name her the best player of the season.
In a recent interview with a Basketball journalist Kenny Bamidele, Enabosi expressed her delight to been named the best player of the season giving special thanks to the coach and the entire Ruzomberok team for bringing out the best from her, reiterating that claiming the championship would have been impossible without their support.

“I am very honoured with been given the best player of the season, especially for the fact that it was my first time playing overseas in general, so you know i had to adapt and learn a lot of different things so to be able to persevere through all of that and end up with MVP was a huge honour and accomplishment that i will definitely cherish for a very long time”.
She continued, “But honestly it would have been impossible without my team-mates and my coach, they have been very patient with me, they try to push me to my best ability”.
The dream of ‘every’ female Basketball player is to play in the WNBA, but for someone who does not have the opportunity to settle in a league that every female Basketball player wants to play in, joining Ruzemburok, was a way to prove that, you can play outside the WNBA and still succeed.
In the final game of the series, Ruzemburok defeated Piestanske Cajky 73-68, to claim the series 3-2. In this encounter Enabosi rose-up to the occasion as usual, scoring a double-double which ensured Ruzomberok fought hard to win the encounter after drawing level with two minutes left.

Like they say ‘Numbers Don’t Lie’ so when a female basketball player gives you 21points 17 rebounds in a 40 minutes game, plus Averaging 14.8 ppg 8.6 rpg in a 5 game series, you can’t help but be impressed.
Now that the season is over in Slovakia, Up next for Enabosi, is the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, as she hopes to represent her country for the first time. The last time she came close to playing for Nigeria, injury pushed her out of the team.
Speaking on rejoining the D’Tigress of Nigeria, the former Delaware player said she’s elated to part of the team, stating that she’s having a nice time and connection with other players in the team.
“I am very excited about rejoining the national team, i have some great connections with the girls who I see as friends and even sister so it is always a good time getting to see them, i just can’t wait to get with this girls and learn as much as i can along the way”
No doubts Nicole Enabosi’s quality can help propel the D’Tigress of Nigeria to do well in the Olympics.
