Landerneau Bretagne Point Guard, Ezinne Kalu believes the D’Tigress of Nigeria will take it ‘one step at a time’ when they face their group c opponents, USA, France and host nation Japan in the Olympics.
The Nigerian international was on Court for 14 minutes in a friendly game played on Friday evening against Puerto Rico, she added 6 points plus a game-high 5 steals and 3 blocks, to help Nigeria beat Puerto Rico 89-63.
In the Female Basketball event of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, D’Tigress of Nigeria are locked in group c alongside, USA, France and Japan. In a post game chat with Licensed Journalist Babatunde Ojora, Ezinne Kalu says they will prepare to take those games as they come.
“We are preparing just by taking it one day at a time, we still have two games left here, and a couple of more friendly games one against the USA I think, but we are super excited, we will definitely continue to keep working and be prepared in July”.
The Nigeria Female Basketball team today will be up against Serbia, in another friendly, 4pm Nigerian time.
