Plateau united general manager Pius Hewan has slammed the plateau state Football Association amid security challenges at the Jos new stadium in Plateau state.
Earlier before the NPFL match day 24 game involving Plateau united and kano pillars, Plateau state FA announced that fans will not be allowed into the stadium they added that adequate security arrangements were put in place with the special force of the STF .
But,what happened at the Jos new stadium was an eyesore ,Fans came into the stadium and Journalist were harassed, players were harassed, some gates and doors were also vandalized and the Fans overpowered the security men.
Plateau united general manager ,Pius Hewan was unhappy with the security challenges and these circumstances led to him venting out his anger on the plateau state FA.
“I don’t see any reason they(Plateau state FA) will not take their responsibilities,they have failed”he said on a radio program hosted by veteran journalist Samson Omale .
“Plateau state FA are the custodial of football in Plateau state, they are the custodial of security before ,during and after the game”
“ I saw it coming ,i complained to the commissional of sport,I complained verbally to the plateau state FA chairman “
“ If the right things are not done ,Plateau united will be banished out of plateau state and we don’t have the fund to be playing away from home.
“I brought the securities that were at the stadium myself because I don’t want anything to happen to this club .
“In all our home games ,the match commissioners are always complaining I know what I am doing behind the seen.
He concluded,” Please if we are wrong let’s agree that we are wrong, let’s forge ahead and move Plateau united to the next level“
Plateau united hosted Kano pillars led by Ahmed Musa on Sunday ,the game ended goalless but the security challenges at the stadium overshadowed the home coming of the Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa.
