Ahead of the 2021 AFRO BASKET Championship, D’Tigers of Nigeria now know when to play their group opponents, as official fixtures for the competition has been released on Tuesday.

Nigeria who were drawn against, two time Champions Ivory Coast, Mali and Kenya, will have to surpass the hurdle to qualify for the next round.

D’Tigers begin the campaign against Mali, on the 25th of August. The matchup between these two sides is not the first, as they were in the same group for the qualifiers, a game which D’Tigers won convincingly.

On the 27th of August, Nigeria will slog it out with a Kenyan side that will be in the competition for the first time in their history and led by a female Coach Liz Mills. The last group game will be against Ivory Coast, comes up on August 29th.

Nigeria will be looking to win their second AFROBASKET trophy in 6 years after they won the 2015 edition.
