The final day of the French Pro A Basketball League was lit!. Two D’Tigers of Nigeria players faced-off in the last game of the season before they team up with the National team to prepare for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

The game was between Orleans featuring Chima Moneke and Chalone had 3-point specialist Ike Iroegbu.

Chima Moneke was unarguably the man of the match, putting his best performances of the season, scoring a big double double 28 points 12 rebounds, as Orleans cruise to a 87-79 win over Chalone.

28 points scored by Chima was his highest and best figure as a Pro, and he capped the season in style.

The aforesaid ex-Quimper player was did well from both ends, recording 2 steals 2 blocks, 9/11 from the field.

Meanwhile, Ike Iroegbu was not left out, as he alongside Chalone players fought hard in the encounter, they led at some point, but could not hold on.

Iroegbu scored 7 points for Chalone, playing 23 minutes. Chalone were led by Hesson who scored a double double 22 points 11 rebounds.


There was another battle between two players with the Nigeria heritage, Antibes Yusuf Temidayo and Roeun Zimmy Nwogbo, the latter came out ontop in the end.

Antibes lost 70-77 to Rouen Metrople.

Yusuf Temidayo was smoking, he registered 10 points 8 rebounds for Antibes.

Zimmy Nwogbo was second behind Steven Amin with 17 points 7 rebounds. Steven Amin led Rouen with 20 points.

TK Edogi added 10 points for St Chamond in 90-81 defeat to Ada Blois.

The defeat means St Chamond’s 3 game winning streak was halted, after they set a best record of 3 Consecutive victories for the first time since February last year.
