Manchester City have completed the signing of Khadijah Shaw from French team Bordeaux on a 3-year deal.

Owing to the sensational form of the 24-year-old forward — popularly referred to by her nickname ‘Bunny’ — notching 22 goals and 7 assists to claim the golden boot in Division 1 Feminine, she has been a key transfer target for the Citizens and as now penned a contract that sees her remain with Gareth Taylor’s women until 2024.

The Jamaican striker has not only been impressive in club football, but has also been massively prolific and pivotal for her country as she spurred them to become the first Carribean nation to play in the Women World Cup while bagging 42 goals in 30 appearances for the Reggae Girlz.

She was however exempted by the Jamaican Football Federation from the women team that participated in the just concluded Summer Series Tournament in United States on the basis it was a “time to recover from an intense season and to consider her future.” Her future decision is settled, and Khadijah Shaw ‘Bunny’ is eagerly anticipating to get started at the Manchester Club

“I’m very exited to join Manchester City and can’t wait to start training,” Khadijah Shaw said.
