Former super eagles winger, Tijani Babangida, has revealed that Samuel Chukwueze’s route to the Premier League is the AFCON 2021.
The retired Nigerian forward believes Samuel Chukwueze will move to a bigger club if he dazzles for Nigeria at the 2021 African Cup Of Nations In Cameroon.o
Samu who was part of the 2015 Golden Eaglets squad that won the FIFA World Cup has gone on to establish himself as one of the world’s most enterprising youngsters.
The 22 year old has over 110 club appearances under his belt within three years of playing in Spain for Villarreal.
He played a pivotal role in Villarreal’s Europa League win.
When on the pitch, the Abia born midfielder tears up defences with his pace and flair. This has however made him a threat to defenders both in La Liga Santander and the world at large.
His talents hasn’t gone unnoticed as he’s been monitored by the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City.
TJ is of the opinion that the sky’s the limit for Chukwueze.
“I believe that Samuel Chukwueze is a very talented player and still very young,” the former Ajax winger told TribalFootball.com.
“If you see the way he plays, you will see that the sky canBaby his limit. I hope he remains very fit, without injuries so that he can continue to do well at Villareal or possibly move to a bigger club.”
Babangida opined that a scintillating performance for Nigeria at AFCON is what Chukwueze needs to take the leap in his career.
He added: “The AFCON is coming up in Cameroon and if he continues to perform well for club and country, I think Chukwueze is likely to move to a bigger club and he has the quality to play in England.”
