AC Milan attacking midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is ready to leave the club in a bid to secure a move to rival club Inter Milan, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano and Gianluca Di Marzio can confirm.

The 27-year-old midfielder is expected to undergo medicals at the Nerazzuri tomorrow 22nd June so as to complete a €5m a year deal that will keep him with the Internazionale until 2024.

With the uncertainty surrounding Christian Eriksen’s future — who collapsed while on international duty for Denmark in their 1-0 loss to Finland in the ongoing EURO 2020 — Inter Milan have sought for the service of Hakan Calhanoglu as a potential alternative for the Danish midfielder.

The Turkish international, having recently played for Turkey in a disappointing European Championship outing is unwilling to renew his soon-to-expire contract with AC Milan and that prompted the Serie A title holders to open talks with the player’s agent Gordon Stipcic.
