Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku has hit out at fans who discredit his ability to control a ball or his first touch control.
Lukaku was a subject of ridicule during his time at Manchester United, he had a brilliant start to life at Manchester but things got bad at some point and the fans turned on him.
The 28-year-old left for Inter Milan two seasons ago and ever since then he’s been a force to reckon with in world football. Most recently, his 24 goals in 36 appearances last season fired Inter Milan to their first Serie A title in a decade.
He has also done well for the Red Devils of Belgium at the ongoing Euros by scoring three goals in the first three group games.
In a Twitter Q&A session on Wednesday, a Manchester United fan aimed a jibe at the former Everton man about his technique.
The fan asked: “How come you couldn’t even control the ball at United but turned up at Inter? I mean you could not contain simple passes made to you.”
Lukaku replied in savage way by saying: “I wouldn’t play at this level if I couldn’t control a ball the f**k.”
Many have wondered that RL9 failed at Manchester United in the premier league but he’s doing well in the Serie A. He however gave a response to the answer saying Italy requires the use of one’s sense.
“Two great cities. Just the game is different, you’ve got to use your brains more in Italy.
“Something they said I couldn’t do. Serie [A] is really tough tactically. Every game is different.
