Barcelona and France international forward Antoine Griezmann deal with Konami has been cancelled.
Two videos that appear to have been shot during Barcelona’s pre-season in 2019 spotted Griezmann and teammate Ousmane Dembele mocking a Japanese hotel staff fixing Tv have been widely shared on social media in recent days.
Both players have responded to the racism accusations and have apologised via their social media handles .
However, Griezmann‘s contract with the Japanese entertainment company ,Konami has now been ripped up because the entertainment company are against any kind of discrimination .
“Konami Digital Entertainment believes,as in the philosophy of sports, that discrimination of any kind is unacceptable.
“Previously we had announced Antoine Griezmannas as our Yu-Gi-Oh! contents ambassador
“However in light of recent events we have decided to cancel the contract.
“With regard to our eFootball PES franchise, we will be requesting FC Barcelona as a club partner to explain the details of this case and its future actions,” an official statement read.
