Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru’s time with As Monaco seems to have elapsed after the coach Niko Kovac has made it known to the winger that there is no chance for him in his squad at Monaco.

After a stuttering start to life at the Ligue 1 club that precipitated his loan move to Turkish giant Galatasary in 2020, the 24-year-old has returned from his loan spell with the aim to find a place in the As Monaco team, but his omission from the French club preseason squad confirms that he truly has no future again with the club.

Onyekuru, alongside returned loanees Keita Balde and Antonio Barrera have been told by Niko Kovac after their preseason game against Cercle Brugge that they are free to leave the club as they would be short of playing time so far as he remains the coach.

Henry Onyekuru who bursted to limelight during his time Belgian side Eupen after netting 28 goals in 57 appearance in 2 seasons for the club is now on the brink of having no club provided there are no suitors to lure him out of AS Monaco.
